The cr2032 does not appear to fit properly.** A: It takes a CR2032, but it looks like it takes a smaller size when you're looking at it. I've never seen a battery holder like this one (though there's nothing wrong with it) The battery holder has "claws" to grab the side of the cell and an O-ring to pull the claws together and have some pressure on the connection. Just insert the battery edge into the opening and slowly press it down all around until it seats, then screw the battery cover back on. You don't need tools but there is a slot in the cover for a coin if you have trouble opening it. You'll have to hold the brightness selector ring (it has numbers on it) in place while you unscrew the battery cover (or when screwing it back on) whether you do it by hand or with a coin. This should make for better electrical contact with the battery but it might make it more difficult to remove it. Perhaps they were thinking that you might be doing this in the dark and this would keep the battery from falling out until you were ready to pull it out but if you're using a laser collimator you're not likely to be doing this in the dark anyway. When you use a star to check the final results you won't need to have this along. **Q: Can any one provide an explaination on how to put in the battery? without forcing it i cant see how nor do i see release screws?** A: I had to force mine. I consider it a design flaw.
