These IEM are excellent for that considering you have to break them in first. A bit harsh if you don't break them in at first but once you do you're in for a nice treat. Hook these babies up to a nice DAC/AMP like the Geek Out 1000, and they'll really bring forth the magic. Be careful with the wires, they are thin and can get tangles easily. Other than that these are stellar.Update: 5/15/2017 - While the IEM still sounds good, I learned using the original ear tips does no justice. You may have to buy aftermarket ear tips for they give a much better seal thus sound. And they may sit in your ear a lot better. The bass reproduced is more articulate and not boomy. So far they are holding up to daily use and they get a lot of attention from co workers who recognise the Fender name. I was using a lower end set of Shure in ears and the bass, as well as the clarity of sound, was no where near as good as the FXA2. I play guitar and bass, and was finally able to hear the bass in my ears and not just feel it in the room. Good clarity, good sound, slightly bulky when wearing for long periods of time. I purchased a set of the FXA2's, and have now been thru the "burn-in" period. The sound I find to be top heavy, if you like a lot of bass, these will work for you. However, the housings are HUGE, they do stick out from the ears some, making them somewhat hard to keep in, and does cause some fatigue if they are worn for long periods. The most negative matter is the cable. Only having them a few months, the cable has sheared already, causing a short, and of course, drop outs of music.
