(an 8 letter engraving specifically)** A: Yes, that length of characters should be visible. I have had my sleeve for a few months now. It normally shows 7-8 characters through the opening depending on how taut you have the sleeve. It may not show that many when you first get the sleeve because it needs time to stretch out, but be patient. Any characters beyond 8 can't be seen through the opening, but you can still kind of read them because the sleeve is not 100% opaque. The full coverage is great, it is comfortable in hand, and after the application, there is no problem with the fit.
