The vinyl is very heavy duty and the carpet pad inside is very dense and will hold up for a long time to my gentle use of setting down loaded bar with 3+ plates. It should hold up just fine to dropped stones or sandbags or crossfit stupidity. It's the same dimensions and weight of the titan/rogue/crash pads so I assume these will work as well and hold up as well as any others. Dropped 225lbs from approximately 7 feet and the barbell and plates had one “big” bounce of a few inches and then settled down. The covering is a thick Vinyl/Fake Leather and is pretty durable. I've been using mine once or twice a week for almost two years and they still look almost new. No tears or anything like that Also the foam hasn't compressed or malformed or anything like that. I deadlift at least 400lb up to 450-500 or so consistently. **Q: can they be stacked for vaulting and landing?** A: Please read the dimensions and specs. I am not a gymnastics coach but in my unprofessional opinion these would be too small and possibly the wrong density to be used for stacking or vaulting.
