The SM-KHE48 is a flat black color, while the black on the SM-SHE60 has a little more sheen, and a barely perceptible metallic quality. The biggest difference between the two models is the lids. While the lid design and operation is very similar between the two, the lid on the SM-SHE60 is more streamlined, has a smaller opening (although not uncomfortably so), and is a full 1 oz. lighter than the lid on the SM-KHE48. Interestingly, I found the lids to be completely interchangeable between the two models, as both models have an identical mouth width. I actually ended up putting the lid for the SM-SHE60 on the SM-KHE48 bottle to create a very light bottle (7.5 oz) for travel.
