I applied a tiny amount of Cortizone 10 to the spot and it cleared up within about four days. I don’t recommend daily use of Cortizone because I hear you can go blind from over use on eyelids.. The prescription version (Aveenova) is 0.01%. I haven't used the Ocusoft 0.02% brand so I can't compare the 2 products. I find the Heyedrate product works extremely well for me on both eyes and face for demodex. Its soothing and non-irritating. I have bad allergies but have had no problems using the Heyedrate product. **Q: I've gone through two rounds of the rx brand and am still suffering from demodex. will this help eliminate it or does it just help with dry eye?** A: See a dermatologist and ask about Ivermectin....yesss that Ivermectin. It kills demodex mites and in some folks this has been reported to relieve dry eyes. The association between demodicosis (infestation with demodex mites) and dry eyes isn't 100% at all. Most older folks have demodex mites but not all have dry eye issues). Nonetheless if taken by prescription (it isn't expensive for oral Ivermectin) this is a safe medication. People using veterinary intended ivermectin are likely taking their life in their own hands. Don't do it! Be VERY careful with tea tree oil. In low concentrations it does kill demodex but can be irritating and damage your eyes if you get it in your eyes. As always this is not intended as medical advice but just information. After using twice a day for 2 weeks the sties had dried up and I just rubbed them off. Brilliant! Went to order again but Amazon are not selling it anymore. So the search begins again for a spray that contains 0.015% hypochlorous acid.
