I wanted a wicker hamper for the bathroom. I purchased this and it was awful. I did read the description...but was very disappointed when I got it. As stated in the description the bottom was compressed wood but it did not say that under the top of the hamper was cardboard!! Needless to say after a couple of damp towels in the hamper it began to grow MOLD!! It really is not a hamper for clothes unless they are 100% dry. I mean I didn't put wet items in...I had a damp towel....and oh my gosh..the whole inside was green the next day. I lost all my towels. It was a nightmare. I would never recommend this...I would give it zero stars if I could. However, I did return it and got my money back, but lost several nice towels. Also, the wastebasket has cardboard at the bottom!! So you can only throw out paper ....nothing that may be damp..or sticky. Who designed this...very poor planning. If you are going to buy this I would recommend putting a plastic bag in the hamper first, but even then I personally wouldnt take the chance. To me a hamper should be able to withstand damp clothes. I have since purchased a different more expensive wicker hamper that came with a velcro bag to put inside and it does the trick...no mold. I would look around and avoid this personally.
