These could have been shortened but they vividly paint the landscape of Britain, her culture etc, as well as the Floyd. I WOULD SUGGEST THIS BOOK IS FOR DEDICATED FANS ONLY. And have Wikipedia at the ready for extra information. I had no idea what the reference to The Walrus and the Carpenter was about, amongst many others. I was a comprehensive school pupil, not grammar school. A collection of great... rare pictures of instruments, people, flyers and I love the way some of the rear LP covers have the writing removed to show the original picture. The covers take up most of 1 page, and thus are larger than a cd cover. Luckily for me, I have the vinyls. I will list the contributing writers: AUBREY POWELL has the foreword. JOE BOYD described the early records. ROB YOUNG guides us and them through the pastoral era. AUBREY gives 2 pages to the late Storm Thorgerson. This, for me, is the perfect end to the men and the journey that is Pink Floyd. The book is published by V&A to coincide with the V&A exhibition in London. I will not be able to visit the exhibition, but nevertheless this book is a joy to read and study the pictures. Written by people that know/knew the members and with Nick, Roger and David, the estates of Syd and Richard all rummaging through their bins for titbits, this is an authorised publication.
