Braid of 10-15lb and Mono of 6-8lb **Q: is this ideal for both pond and pier fishing?** A: Yes! **Q: The handle keeps coming loose when reeling and the screw on the other side comes loose as well?** A: so if you go right handed, you have to reel the opposite way. if you are left handed same thing. you can't reel with the screw or it will undo itself every time. the only way to deal with that is unwind the spool and re spool it the opposite direction ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐ Strong but extra stuff not necessary *by D***S on Reviewed in Canada on 4 May 2021* This is a pretty good rod I wouldn't get it if you're an expert fisherman but but it's pretty sturdy and I thought it would break but no it's pretty good. The stuff that comes with it I would just go to the dollar store and use that stuff. I actually pay that price because of the extra stuff but it's just plastic stuff and the hooks I'm good and the plastic things are too hard the only thing I've used in the extra stuff was the wiggly jelly like worm things and I didn't catch anything with those.
