The bracket doesn’t accommodate the extra size. It is possible to connect with the mic mod if you place the camera on the outside of the bracket which is not the correct way. Its a little wobble when its setup like that if you are using a smaller stand. I chose this over other products because it is made of metal. Similar products were made of plastic and reviews complained about them breaking.
