These are sharp , safe and easy to use. It has a guard on the back so that we aren't afraid of cutting to much and getting his wick. Which was for us a big fear since he always pulls his legs and causes us to missfire. They also don't require nearly as much hand strength or force that our old ones needed. Which causes us to have to take multiple breaks. His nails haven't splintered yet since we started using these and the clips are neat and clean. I didn't know what to expect at this price point but these are absolutely fantastic. I won't completely dread having to spend half an hour sweating and fighting my dog to get half his nails clipped. I think if I knew how small it is I'd have gotten the larger one, I feel like a larger one would give my hand better control and leverage. But it still works for my 13 lb dogs. It is sharp like it is supposed to be.
