Could it be used without the bottom mat?** A: There are corner pockets on the bottom mat which hold the poles in place. I wouldn’t recommend using the top tent part without the bottom mat. **Q: What are the floor dimensions for this?** A: I measure 58 width by 46 length give or take. Depends how wide you spread the 4 legs you can make it a little more narrow if needed. We love it and it's a great addition to my toddler's room. **Q: Why are so many people complaining about it not staying in place when some people show photos of pockets to put the poles in that keep it in place?** A: The tent does have corner pockets for the poles and stayed up just fine on my tile floor.
