I am trying so hard to find a French press that is NOT made in China and DOES NOT have any plastic parts. Is there any plastic on/in this product and does it come into contact with the water/coffee at all?** A: The Bodun Chambord models all have metal parts except for the little ball on top of the stem and the cover. The carafe is always glass. I had a problem a few years back with a Bodun model that had a plastic piece connecting the filter to the stem; it broke after a few months use so I also was concerned about plastic parts.
