Review: Dumb TV! - And I say that in a totally positive way. I didn't need a smart TV, so I went with this. Picture is really clean, sound is decent, slim profile, light enough to mount on my wall, and works as I need it to work. I have a separate streaming device that I can hook into one of the HDMI ports. I want to watch streaming content, and otherwise just use it to watch cable shows. The menus are not overly complicated with tons of unnecessary settings and features. You get what you need to watch your shows. Period. The remote control it comes with is not backlit, which is one small drawback, but I typically use my cable remote anyway. There are quite a few functions available on the remote itself, many of which I don't even use. If you're just looking for a decent, solid hi-def TV for a great price, consider this one. One other thing I really like about this TV is that it turns on quick - no need to wait for a long startup process before you can start watching your show. A few seconds for the splash screen to show, then right to your video. There's a few things that you can choose to customize further when you first set it up (aside from setting the time), but pretty much turn it on, switch to whatever input your video is plugged into, and you're all set! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy...
Review: Simpler is better! Great plain TV - We are SO GLAD to have companies like Sceptre who just make regular plain TVs. Not all of us have (or want) internet and thus paying for all the gadgets. We just want a TV that works. This screen is huge and the colors bright and crisp. Love how light weight it is and how you can plug even older devices into it down to 480i (or as high as 4k 60Hz HDCP2.2 and HDMI2.0). The power consumption is low and the packaging was great. It is sad to me that Sceptre is focusing on just monitors now post COVID. Hoping they keep their line simple and re-offer their TVs like this for years to come. Cons: The only con we could think of is that the sound is "tinny" ...BUT....this is expected on big flat-screen TVs. Most people hook up to a stereo or a sound bar (which is what we did) for that theater experience. We love watching movies and hope to have this screen for many years to come! Thank you Sceptre! Future idea: Sell a simple sound bar to pair with each generation of your TVs and a simple HD Blu-Ray/DVD player that also doesn't have to have internet! ;)

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this get 60 fps via Windows PC?**
A: It does 60hz at 4k on HDMI 1 and 2 if I'm not mistaken. So technically it can and will if your PC is powerful enough. I run my gaming rig to it for some couch gaming and it works well. Input lag is decent but not great, but for the price its hard to complain.

**Q: Which hdmi port is the hdcp 2.2? there are 4 of them, and none of them say it on the back of the tv.**
A: Hello Greg,

HDMI 4 is the one with the HDCP 2.2 connection.

**Q: If i were to buy a tv stand... how wide would it need to be? i am getting tv tue and i would like to know how much distance is between the leg stands.**
A: I just measured... the widest part of the legs are 42". The TV itself is 48.5" wide. The TV is 28" tall without legs, and 30" with legs.

**Q: Is the remote control infrared or radio frequency?**
A: Infared

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great UHDTV and can't go wrong for the price.
*by R***O on July 16, 2016*

It cost 1/3rd the price I paid for the first Sceptre HDTV I bought in 2004, yet it is even bigger. For TV, the colors are fine out of the box, but to use it as a computer monitor, on my Mac I had to make a new color profile for it. And I had to adjust the color settings, but it is looking really good. (Brightness = 50, Contrast = 37, Backlight = 75, Color = 69, Tint = -37, Sharpness = 57, ScreenSize = Full100%, Dynamic Contrast = On, Film Mode = On, Video Noise Reduction = High, DT Noise Reduction = High, MEMC Setting = On, White Balance R=124,G=120,B=115, and offsets are 1024). I'm not saying that it is perfect or what a calibration device would come up with, but it looks good and passes the calibration tests on-line. The MEMC setting is supposed to allow the TV to simulate 120Hz refresh rates by smoothing out the motion. The screen does not have a matte finish to it, so if you have sunlight coming through windows or lights in the room, it will reflect when the screen has a dark scene. I also found out that my Sony stereo remote has some of the same commands, so the power button on the remote will now turn on both the TV and the stereo. It isn't the fastest to boot up though. I clocked it at 18 seconds when hooked up to my MacBook. I haven't hooked it up to a 4K video source yet. But, it does great at 1920x1080. I am very happy with this TV so far. I also ordered it on a Friday and it showed up the next Wednesday a week early.
