I wanted something to secure to my bannister to dry clothes and I looked at many options. I even bought a cheap one for £7 which was really small and flimsy, and it broke when I opened it. This is a bit expensive but its worth it due to the quality that comes with this brand. Its about 68cm wide and 40cm deep, which is perfect as its not too large but wide enough for towels, and you can hang stuff on hangers from it. Its really sturdy and I have hung loads of clothes off it. Even if your bannister supports aren't 67cm apart it can still secure it using the first drying rail, as you adjust the arms. The part that goes over door?** A: When folded closed, it is 17.32 deep by 27.66 wide. The dimension over the door isn't given. However, when in use and fully open, it's almost a square. So that dimension is closer to 27 inches than 17 inches. It's really terrific, I love mine and use it all the time plus it takes up no space. **Q: Would this fit hanging over a sliding shower door?
