At 290 grams, they're very durable & long-lasting. They also hold air extremely well and don't mind rain. Mine have 380 miles on them with no cuts or scrapes. Tread nicely broken in. The casing is strong yet supple. Road feedback & grip is excellent as well. Heavier than a racing tire (250gr) it is also more durable; great for club rides, long miles & training. In over 20 years of use, I've never had a Continental tubular fail, and they're hard to wear out. I don't remember ever puncturing one. I switched to Continental tubulars after relatively poor results from expensive tubs from the big Italian manufacturers.
