Deepwater Aquatics Quattro Media Reactor

I have a couple of reactors from Two Little Fishes, BRS, Vertex, Reef Octopus and the last one I got was from Deepwater Aquatics. Are there better reactors ? Yes, there are. But you pay at least the double. This reactor is very well made, by far much better than TLF and mine came with 1/2 inch barbed fittings, fits perfectly my 1/2 inch ID tubbing. Good size to run carbon, GFO and other medias. I need one more and I’ll choose Deepwater Aquatics again. No complains at all.

Just received this reactor today and I must say it is great! It is of superior quality even better that some other better known reactors I have purchased in the past and larger than much of the competition and it has a much more realistic price. I'm going to search for what else they sell related to aquarium hardware and keep them in mind when looking for other products.

Great little reactor for the price. Material is thin compared to other reactors I've had in the past. Fittings are labeled 1/2" but definitely metric size. 1/2" soft hose fits with some pressure to stretch it over he barbs. Not the best reactor I've purchased but certainly worth the price. No major complaints.

This reactor showed up on time and in perfect condition. The height is good and the diameter of the chamber is large enough for a variety of media. It did not come with tubing so make sure you buy 1/2" tubing, clamps, and a suitable pump for the media you are using. It did not come with any instructions at all. So make sure you have some knowledge of how reactors work and how they are plumbed in. Since the ports are not labeled you should know from previous experiences that the port below the internal tube is the INTAKE port. The top secures tightly and is easily removed to change your media. The internal tube should be longer to keep from spilling media into it while adding it to your chamber, so be careful when adding your media. It came with a clamp of some sort, but I haven't figured out what it clamps to. So far I am pleased.
