You'll need 6 things, the bottle, 2 tubes (one short, one long), the nipple with ring, the larger round thing that looks like a bottle cap, & the smaller round thing that has a silicone side. 1) unscrew the bottom part of the larger cap looking thing, it'll come apart into 2 peices, a ring & then a new round part that is flat on one side. 2) take that new round piece & screw the flat side onto the nipple/ring 3) connect the long tube to the peg part now sticking out of the bottom of the nipple 4) Take the smaller round thing with the silicone side & connect the smaller tube to the peg on the silicone side 5) put the smaller tube inside the bottle (silicone side down) & push the round thing down into the bottles opening 6) take the ring & screw it over the smaller round thing onto the bottle 7) connect the other end of the long tube (connected to the nipple) to the top of the bottle All done (: **Q: What is the flow rate of the nipples, and can use any other company's nipple?** A: Not sure if things have changed (others reporting Level 2 nipples). I received 4 nipples with my bottles, but they are all different sizes. The silicone label shows Size 1, Size 2, Size 5, and Size 8. I tested them out on the tubing. I personally cannot suck through the Size 1 (I think this is for use with the bottle without the tubing). I use the Size 8 for my baby when using the tubing, and it works well. She typically uses slow flow nipples (Dr. Brown's Size 1 and Avent Size 0).
