Thank you for considering this Tel-Tru thermometer. **Q: Can this thermometer be calibrated?** A: No-I purchased a Yoder UT300 Plain, 100/550F, 3 in stem. I checked the accuracy of the thermometer and found it was -12 DEGREES OFF. I used rolling boiling water at 212 degrees. I used my ThermoWorks Thermo Pin to check temp and was spot on 212. The UT300 was -12 degrees off at 212 degrees. Yoder had to replace the Thermometer. FYI Check for accuracy!! **Q: Has anyone fit this thermometer on a Weber smoker dome lid? If so, did it cover up all the gaps left from the Weber stock thermometer?** A: Rusty - the case circumference on our model BQ300 is 3.187". You can compare this dimension with the thermometer that came with your unit to determine if it will cover. The model BQ300 has a 1/2"NPT connection and would fit a hole that is 7/8".
