Later that evening as the itching intensified and swelling spreaded, I did report to nurse and wanted my mom moved into another room. I was then informed that there has been issues with bed bugs. All her belongings were bagged and she was given a shower. By then I’ve been home and bought in overnight bags and blankets I used while in the hospital. Since then I’ve been experiencing bites. I called exterminator but he was not able to locate any bugs or signs that they were in my home. Before I spend a load of money I have started doing all the necessary precautions. It’s been 4 months and no sign of bed bugs. Update April 5, 2025- still no more occurrence. I took case off mattress to wash. It held up well during washing and was easy to put back on.
