While I love the keyboard, while playing BF4 I started to get complaints on noise volume.These greatly reduce the "clacking" sound of bottoming out (which I kinda liked) but since they're only .2 mm doesn't signifigantly alter the way the switch felt. I was also worried about bottoming out not feeling as "crisp" but I'm happy to say that that's not the case. I'd say, it still feels good, but just, different. Not mushy like a rubber dome, yet not harsh as it was before. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who uses blues as you still get that great audible click without all the racket, or anyone with a mechanical keyboard in general who wants to reduce the noise without significantly altering the feel of their keyboard. Great product and quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Read Before Buying! I bought the RED and BLUE versions to try and test them both. *by N***S on November 12, 2016* Just like me, you're probably wondering what these are, what they do, and do they really work. And even if they do, how well do they work? I bought both the red and blues from this business to try and test them out. I have not tried the slightly more expensive WASD ones yet so I cannot compare it to that brand. First off, the reds are supposed to be thinner then the blues. When I received them I actually notice that they're also wider too, strangely. I don't think this is an issue, however, as it seems to be working fine. It's only noticeable during installation because the reds are a lot easier to slide into the keys than the blue ones are because they're wider. In terms of real world performance, I installed both the red and blues on multiple keyboards: Cherry MX Browns, Cherry MX Blues, and Cherry MX Reds. Then I tried gaming and multiple type tests online with them to see what feels best for gaming and typing. I've decided the color band matches best with the Cherry MX colors: blue with my MX Blue Keyboard and red with my MX Red keyboard. I don't have any on the MX Browns because I like them the way it is and it feels weird with any of the rings installed. The red rings doesn't help reduce noise in my opinion. It's only shortens the key presses by a very small margin that is barely noticeable from the start, but is slightly more noticeable after prolong usage. I don't like them on the MX Blues because it doesn't help reduce the clicking at all and the travel is negligible. I prefer them on the MX Reds because I feel the MX Red have a lot of wasted key travel that the red rings will help improve performance and response time. At the same time, the MX Reds aren't that loud so the red rings will be perfect for it. Now with the blues, they're much more noticeable and effective at reducing the noise. On my MX Blue keyboard, it reduced the noise, on average, over 10-15dB each key I measured. It makes the MX Blues sound so much more smooth and quiet. The reduction in key travel with the blue rings are very apparent and noticeable as well. It improved my typing time by 10wpm on average because it reduces the delay between button presses. It doesn't take a lot of force to activate a key on the MX Blue keyboard and when you're typing fast, you end up pressing each button pretty hard, pressing the button all the way down. The blues rings reduce the wasted time of the extra key travel after you press the button so you can move on to the next letter. All the while greatly reducing the noise. Another thing I realize is when I use the blue rings with the MX Red keyboard, I often miss when I play game or type. It seems the reds don't have a good activation feedback so I'm always unsure if I've actually pressed the button enough. Sometimes I feel like the blues are too thick for the reds as it needs to be pressed down more, I'm not sure.
