I used on oak cabinets. I tried to use on a dark wood dining set, but it had a protective film on it so it did not take the liquid gold and stayed greasy. I was happy to have a highly knowledgeable professional painter endorse the product as “safe” since it does not prevent wood from being painted at a later time as do some other products. I would not use the spray on version which would result in oily overspray. It can be somewhat difficult to reliably source locally, so I have counted on Amazon … but I will plan ahead and look locally after this current experience. Paid $8.41 for 20 oz in 2019, $6.43 for 14 oz. in 2020, and $15.00 for 14 oz, in 2024. I believe that almond oil is an ingredient and wondered if there was a material shortage contributing to the skyrocketing price?
