Do I need to order connectors/adapters to use this monitor?** A: The answer is: I would say yes. I have the VX2478, VP2771 and the VP2780-4K. If you examine the manual (VP2458, google it for the manual), it has a DisplayPort, HDMI port, VGA port. I looked at the resolution, and while 1080p is good for Television, I found 1080p unsuitable for computer work. All of my monitors are set to 2560x1440. It is more expensive, but please keep in mind, if you are staring at monitors all day, you will find the higher resolution a blessing. ViewSonic makes excellent monitors, and for all the years I have used them, only one was sent in for warranty work (and it was quickly resolved). Allow me to suggest you look into a high resolution monitor. I do have the VP2780-4K, but unless you are doing 4K editing, it is overkill for general work. To answer the question (that was asked :-) ) I am using the USB C to Displayport Cable from the QGeeM store, and they are very inexpensive: $12-17 from Amazon. These are great cables, but think about how you are going to work: I use a laptop and monitor as well, and I like to have the monitor to the right of me, so 4ft is enough; the cables are somewhat inflexible, so I had to order a shorter one ($12 was not a big deal for me, the 6ft was too long), and those function excellently. **Q: Is there a way to have the monitor auto detect screen rotation? maybe through drivers or something** A: This monitor supports auto pivot software which could be downloaded from https://color.viewsonic.com/support/software/ .
