Product description In the Eastern Mediterranean, at the crossroads between East and West, Greek mastiha has been cultivated since antiquity, deeply connected with traditions, historical events and cultural exchanges, reaching the present day through a long heritage shaped by the culture of the region. Today it continues to be appreciated as a unique natural product of the Mediterranean. Mastiha is the name of a resinous sap produced from the mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus var. chia). It is a natural, aromatic resin in teardrop shape that falls on the ground in small drops after careful superficial incisions are made on the tree’s trunk and main branches. This traditional cultivation method has been preserved through generations and reflects the long-standing heritage and craftsmanship associated with mastiha production.
