Thank you** A: Love, love, love these glasses!Very comfortable grip.Glasses measure 5 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches across the top. **Q: Do these glasses explode on their own?** A: Yes, indeed, these DO eventually explode. I picked one up last night and it exploded in my hand with a very loud bang, showering me with glass, and spraying glass all over my kitchen (took hours to clean up). I got some small cuts on my leg, and my friend who was sitting about 8 feet away got a small shard in the back of her hand. Luckily I was wearing glasses, so the bits headed for my eyes bounced off. Needless to say, I immediately threw out all my remaining ones. I've had them for about 10 years, and they were in constant heavy daily use and always washed in the dishwasher. They look great, feel great in the hand, and are extremely tough (never broken when dropped) and functional. They were my favorite glasses. It's such a lovely design and went well with my other white and gold china. The only downside with gold china is that you cannot put them in the dishwasher, but it is no problem to wash them up as it is not like they are going to be used every day.
