As we were traveling to my daughter’s the next day to help care for my sick 15 mo, i was thrilled to find desertcart could have it there the next day. As we got up at the crack of dawn, our wary, ill toddler was crying and beside herself. Thankfully, I remembered this Little Blue Truck book!! I pulled it out and started in with the catchy rhymes, the occasional beep, beep, moo, moo, and so on. The tears dried up, and a little smile appeared. We went thru it quickly once to be sure not to lose her, then twice more slowly. After that, we asked ?’s, played our own games and so on. I kid you not, this little book got up thru abt 40 mins of separation anxiety, sickness, tears, and getting used to Grandpa and Mimi again!! My one sort of negative is that the buttons are a bit hard to push for little fingers. As she gets bigger, obviously she will be able to do it on her own, but she did get a little bit frustrated with that. The plus to this is that indiscriminate goat or horse sounds didn’t interrupt the story, but you get the idea.
