I was able to fit two DR-10L recorders, two lav mics, one USB cable, and a pair of spare AAA batteries without feeling this case was too full or like I was smashing anything. Could probably fit one more lav (depending on the case you store it in) and a couple more AAA batteries if you didn't mind the case feeling a little more "plump." The foam is cut to be snug around the recorders and feels like it will protect the recorder from drops very well.
