They have a long shelf life, so decided to serve them this year. My wife was born in France and has discerning tastes. We ate the escargot with Christmas Eve dinner. She soaked them in red wine, then cooked them in Cremini mushrooms with garlic butter, and topped with a sprinkle of Jarlsberg cheese. C'est magnifique! My wife says they are the best escargot she has ever had!
