K98 MAUSER Sight Hood, Leather Sling and 12" Cleaning Rod

Can't wait to put it together. package arrived and I'm overall satisfied with it. Waiting on my stock to arrive so i can unsporterize my 1939 code 147

The sling is nice but I hate how the piece pictured doesn’t tighten right so it rattles around constantly. I’ll probably just cut the piece that rattles off because the sling is tight enough as it is with the two keeper loops also pictured. Looked on YouTube on how to install the sling and the first video to pop up is from world war supply which is nice to see that the seller actually cares about the product their selling although I can’t say the same about the sight hood. The sight hood is EXTREMELY rigid which makes it very difficult to install by yourself but it is possible. Also the cleaning rod was too long but that’s my fault for not knowing there are two different lengths for k98 cleaning rods.

Great set, looks nice and went well with my 39 obendorf.
