I assumed the light cream meant it would soak in your quickly..light as in a summer weight moisturizer not light as in lighter consistency. This is a high moisturizing cream despite the "light" description. I love it because we have crazy windy weather or extremely dry weather in the winter where I layer on 3 types of moisturizers so my skin doesn't feel dry. I think for me this would not be an everyday moisturizer in the summer but a once a week you need a deep moisturizering treatment type situation. In the winter I can see myself using it everyday. It greats for sensitive skin, I have felt a bit of tingling throughout the day but I think that is the actives actually moisturizering as my skin didn't get red, itchy or hot as it does when it reacting badly to a product.
