It washed well (the seller actually emailed me washing instructions, which was nice) and lets go of sand very easily, which is important for a beach towel. The only downside we see is that it is unravelling a bit already, after 2 trips to the beach. We bought two, and they are both exhibiting this problem. We don't know if it will get worse or not, right now its just in a couple places. I haven't had a chance to use it on the beach yet but it does a very good job as a bath towel as well. The first thing I realized when I opened the package was the softness and thinness of it. Even though it is very thin, it dried me a lot faster than my regular bath towel because of the absorbent bamboo.I know that I'm gonna enjoy using it as a beach towel since the size is large enough to lay on. It is also very lightweight and thin, making it very compact( it's not going to take up all the space in my beach bag). Just like it dried me better than a normal towel, it dries fast itself as well, no more of the moist smell from wet beach towels in my car.I got the Lagoon Blue stripe towel and the color and design is just like it looks on the website, very vibrant and beachy. I am a big fan of Turkish towels and have had a few before, but this one is definitely the best one I've had, I will be buying one for my boyfriend who also wanted a men’s beach towel.
