Is the black bit with the battery electrodes fixed on it (on the screw off base) meant to be quite loose and rattly?** A: Hi when putting it back on if you look at the base you will see a mark sticking out line that up with the cut out in the lamp its self press down and turn clock wise but make sure you press down so as to seat the batteries, you should find that works ok **Q: is it bright enough to use indoors when there's a power cut?** A: Yes. It's so bright that my mother who has cataracts can use it for reading a book (she usually uses special ultra-bright mains lamps that were recommended by the hospital eye doctors). **Q: can we get dimensions for this product?** A: Height 7.3" (with handle down), square base and top: 3.3" **Q: Is there any way to turn off the small green flashing light without removing the batteries? Seems like a waste of battery power.** A: I have just purchased this lantern and there is NO flashing green LED on my model. Perhaps the manufacturer has listened to people's concerns about this and removed or disabled the LED. There is no mention of the LED in the instructions, and in all other respects the lantern works perfectly, so I presume that this is not a fault (either way I am pleased not to have it). ## Frequently Bought Together - LE 1000LM Battery Powered LED Camping Lantern, Waterproof Tent Light with 4 Light Modes, Camping Essentials, Portable Lantern Flashlight for Camping, Emergency Light, Power Outages, Not Rechargeable - Amazon Basics 12-Pack D Cell Alkaline All-Purpose Batteries, 1.5 Volt, 5-Year Shelf Life --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.vu/products/266044866-le-camping-lantern-battery-powered-1000lm-dimmable-camping-lights-2](https://www.desertcart.vu/products/266044866-le-camping-lantern-battery-powered-1000lm-dimmable-camping-lights-2) --- *Product available on Desertcart Vanuatu* *Store origin: VU* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
