The line for the lowercase letters is only 2 mm tall. I like that the notebook was made in France and not a country with questionable labor practices. I also like that the cover is thick paper, poster-board thick. It's got a coating that makes it easy to wipe off a few rain drops or whatever. It's not pokey plastic. The cover FEELS better than plastic. I got the staple-bound version. It's not the most aesthetic, but it's super easy to recycle. (Pull out a couple of staples and recycle the paper.)
