I had bought another set (different company) of bent stainless steel straws only to find they had one major draw back, their diameter was too small for my silverware basket in my dishwasher. They could easily fall thru the square holes and cause problems. In looking at these and others, one of the things I focused on was the diameter. These turned out to be no bigger than my other set. Based on the dimensions in the product description, they should have been big enough not to cause problems in the dishwasher. As I read the description they were to be 0.4" in diameter but in reality they are not quite 0.25" in diameter (outside). So these go into my box of things that will eventually go to Goodwill or some other like charity store. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for the environment *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2017* They don't break like glass, they don't have a big impact on the environment, what's not to love? The cleaning brush works great and then I just stick them in the dishwasher and reuse. When I am completely done with them, they will go in the recycling and not fill the landfills.
