Be VERY careful when you open the jar of cream upon delivery. There is NO safety seal under the lid. When I opened the jar for the first time, a decent amount of cream just poured down the sides of the jar.That is the only negative thing I have to say about Shea Radiance's Shea Butter Cream-Lavender Bliss. Because it IS bliss! Pure bliss when it touches my skin. The consistency reminds me of Greek vanilla yogurt. Its easy to apply and does not weigh heavily on skin or cause it to look or feel oily or greasy. It absorbs quickly. And when it does, skin is left incredibly soft and smooth. I experience flareups of eczema. In the instant Shea Radiance touches the eczema inflamed skin, it is immediately calmed and soothed. The burning/itching is alleviated. Its gentle enough that the kids use it as well. Even my husband has used it on his extremely rough, dry elbows with exceptional results.I prefer to use the cream after bathing as its recommended it be used on damp skin. I do use a tiny amount on my face again before bedtime some nights as well, just because my skin is dry and needs extra moisturizing. I have terribly sensitive skin and have no bad reactions to this cream at all.There is a lovely lavender scent and its not at all gagging or overpowering. It actually lasts for awhile too!The high quality shea butter, collodial oatmeal, lavender and rice bran oil ingredients help to make this one amazing cream. Its perfect for daily use, for those with sensitive skin, babies/children, sunburn relief pregnancy/post-pregnancy use as well. I don't want to sound like an absolute snob, but "lavender" has to really be lavender, not something the manufacturers fondly thought smelled similar, and called "ecologically sensitive" and threw in a jar. This lotion is scented with essential oils of lavender, which I'm going to look for from now on, because it smells wonderful - but not overpowering. Just enough to smell nice when you put it on, nice when you smell your skin, and not cloying any other time.And the lotion? It's smooth, soothing, soft, and absorbing. I put it on after working in the garden, so I have to remove insect spray and sunscreen first (yes, I live in the south), scrub myself clean, and then repair the damage. This lotion is thicker than most lotions, but not like pure shea butter - as soft as shea butter but creamier.My skin feels awesome afterwards. I've been using this before bed since then - it's wonderful. I'm compelled to admit I like this better than most of my pricier boutique products - the ones that don't offer the same environmental benefits.
