I tried to order these twice and ended up receiving one of the beakers broken both times. The first time the box was simply put into a bubble mailer, the replacements were sent in the item box itself with a label slapped on it. Now, that's a failing on Amazon's packing department for sure, not the item, right? Not quite. The interior of the box has an immense high quality block of foam that snugly holds the largest beaker, but the others are nested inside it pretty loosely with a single layer of thin bubble wrap between each, and the *shifting* of these loosely stacked and poorly padded interior beakers is what causes them to break in transit. The outer one, which could not shift, was fine in both cases despite technically being the easiest to break because it was fully immobilized, while the next one in broke both times. This is annoying because it was the size I needed most. I ultimately got a refund for the product. The beakers themselves are well made and have nice markings on them, but good luck getting a full set unscathed. One or more will surely break in transit until they bulk up the padding between the nested beakers.

The first thing I want to stress is BE CAREFUL, especially pouring liquid with the smaller ones. Griffin beakers are not supposed to run liquid down the sides on a slow pour, or decanting liquid. The smaller ones will wrap liquids around the spout, no matter how fast you pour. Very dangerous with acid. The 1, .5, and .25L beakers I do not see this problem, but the 100 and 50ml are a mess. Also, be careful unpacking these. The company packaged it way too tightly together. They need room to move a little. It's so tightly together, one shock will break at least one. They will immediately replace the broken ones, however it's more dangerous to file a return. Handling lab glassware is dangerous when broken. Re-packing is adding to the danger. Contact the seller or Amazon instead of filing a return.

I very good quality set of beakers nicely packed. I have been a professional chemist my entire life so the quality compares favorably to existing manufacturer's glassware.
