There is 4 level of resistance light, medium, heavy, extra heavy. I have 2 different ones but every time I ask the question here on Amazon no one knows the answer so I will buy professional so I know what level I'm getting. I do know that if I hold these underwater I will float up off the bottom. **Q: Can these be used at the beach in salt water?** A: Sea Salt water compared to swimming pool chlorine, salt water probably will not deteriorate the material. My question: Can these light weights be used in the wavy sea water for aquatic exercise? **Q: Do they all have 3 lbs resistance?** A: I don't know about the lbs resistance, but if used correctly in the water, the workout is tremendous.
