I can't drink black tea because it gives me a lot of heartburn (most teas do). This tea doesn't give me heartburn and is more pleasant to drink. I am looking forward to finally having iced tea again this summer, for now it's great as a hot tea. I don't put anything in it and it's wonderful. It's also said to be caffeine free. It is a light cream color and it tastes light after the bitterness, it is quite good really and very calming since it is herbal. I use it to help me sleep at night since i have insomnia, it lulls me into being relaxed while i read a book and i can doze off afterwards.
