They do not test on animals HOWEVER, they do not say if any of the ingredients they use were tested on animals by the companies Bio-Oil buys its ingredients from. Gave up my beloved Neutrogena because of animal cruelty. **Q: Is this safe during pregnancy and while breastfeeding?** A: I'm guessing Retinyl palmitate (artificial Vitamin A) is the concern? As far as I know, dietary overdoses of supplemental Vitamin A in pregnancy are dangerous but I can't imagine topical useage would be. (Beta-carotene or natural dietary vitamin A are safe over the recommended daily dosage, but retinols are not. So be careful which prenatal you are taking, what sources of Vit A are used and if you're drinking things like Body Armor or nutrition shakes daily.)
