When I put my hair in a ponytail, I use that amount to put on my dry hair after I put the rubber band on it to hold all the loose hair on the sides in place and look nicely groomed. At almost 63 year's old, I'm still using this product and it's never let me down. My curls are a mixed bag, but this still works.
