Better than ghd hair dryer
I did a lot of research before deciding which new hair dryer to purchase. I first decided on the ghd hair dryer after reading great reviews. It was $200. I tried it once and wasn't impressed at all. I tried it again, and my hair was still frizzy. I sent it back. I went back to my list of recommendations and decided to buy the BaBylissPRO Porcelain Ceramic 2800 Dryer after many friends raved about it. At $80, I wish I had just bought this one from the very beginning. Such a night and day difference and exactly what I was looking for. My hair is sleek, shiny, and piecey. It's so soft. This dryer has a magical way of shooting hot air on my hair only and no where else, meaning I don't get all hot and sweaty like I did with my Hot Tools dryer that I used for years until it died. I'm so excited to do my hair now, which is a miracle, because I used to hate blow drying it. My goal was to not have to use a flat iron anymore, and this dryer gives me the finished look I want.

Died after 10 months, but got replacement from Babyliss!
I love this dryer and bought it here from Amazon in January of 2017. However, after a little under 10 months, one day it started to smell like it was burning and the motor or fan started rattling inside. I was about to toss it and go buy another I called customer service number found on the Babyliss website (Replacement Parts/Product Warranty 800.326.6247) and after gathering info from me on the dryer (model and serial number), they instructed me to ship it back (at my expense) to Conair and they will replace it. The customer service agent says this dryer has a 3-year limited manufacturer's warranty. Yay!People here who have complained about the same thing happening to their dryer should call the company. They seem to have good customer service. I will provide an update once I receive the replacement!

Almost perfect
We have three of these in the family now. It's a pretty good dryer, with only two things that could be better:Filter: The filter is difficult to clean adequately. I even contacted BaByliss about a replacement filter, and was told there isn't one for sale. There ought to be! I ended up replacing the filter with one from an older hair dryer after trimming it down to fit. It works, but BaByliss should really sell replacement filters.Weight: My oldest daughter was really surprised by the weight of this dryer. We both had T3 Featherweight Luxe Hair Dryer previously, and though I had to replace my T3 sooner than my daughter replaced hers, I don't remember thinking the BaByliss was a lot heavier. She thinks the BaByliss is super heavy in comparison to the T3, so be aware.

I AM IN LOVE WITH MY HAIRDRYER (sing to the tune of I'm in Love with My Car, by Queen). This is the best blow dryer I've ever owned. My hair is very fine, and super curly, still fairly thick, even in my early 50's. For most of my life, I've dried my hair as straight as possible, then used a curling iron, or flat iron to straighten completely. I think I can put those tools away. I was able to blow my hair out pretty straight, and very quickly. NO frizzies (which is actually the main reason I used a hot iron). I didn't put any product in my hair. Only used the dryer. My hair is smooth, but still has volume. My next plan is to bring this to all of my sisters so they can see how awesome it is.

Best hairdryer - buttons out of the way!
This hairdryer just makes me happy! I have tried so many different brands, price levels, etc over the years and have come to really trust BaByliss dryers. This is my 3rd from this brand and I have loved them all. This one is my favorite of the 3. It's the perfect level of air flow, heat, and weight. Most impressive to me is the button placement! I don't know why other dryers seem to fail to think about where the buttons are relative to where your hand will be when it's in use. SO annoying when you're drying your hair and you accidentally turn it off, or change the heat or the air speed. These buttons are smartly placed and I haven't had any trouble accidentally changing things while in use. Highly recommend!

Heavy, hot, and poorly designed, but it dries!
This replaced a drug store Conaire that was 8 years old and took forever to dry my short hair. It is markedly faster, hotter, and quieter. It is also heavier. Like I have had to drop my arm down to rest it while drying my (still short) hair. Also, the switches are in an arguably stupid place (they are literally where a person holds the dryer). So I inadvertently switch to warm or medium while drying. Oh! And the attachment has no way to snap on, so it has fallen on my head and toes while drying (and it's HOT). So that is kind of terrible. It was on sale at about $69 when I bought it. The final word? It is effective, but I suspect there's a better dryer out there for the money.

and liked it because it was quieter than most blow dryers ...
I used a Babyliss hairdryer on a cruise, and liked it because it was quieter than most blow dryers I've used and it dried my hair quickly without getting my scalp too hot. Unfortunately, I could not find the same model. I have short (above shoulder length) thick hair so I mostly use high setting. This model is ok, but, it does get very hot on your scalp on high setting. Yet, even though it gets quite hot it doesn't seem to dry the thickest parts of my hair any quicker than my other (cheaper) dryer nor as good as the one I used on the cruise. I do like that it is quieter (kind of a lower pitch) than other brands I've used.

OK, but the higher end BaBlissPro dryers are much better!
The dryer is pretty good, but I found it at a much better price at Harmon Face Values—and they take retailmetnot coupons for Bed Bath & Beyond. But better than that, you can test out so many of the dryers before you buy. I was much happier buying in person—because I found a higher-end model and the salesperson told me about the coupons so I was able to afford it. Ultimately, I went for a higher-end BaBlyssPro ItaliaBravia. I have curly hair and it is great with the BaByliss Italian Series Snap-On Diffuser, which I had to buy elsewhere online only. I wasn't able to find the diffuser on Amazon, but maybe they have it now.
