I'm using this in portrait mode. At first, it was a bit dull but after changing the refresh rate to 75hz (I'm on Linux) with gtf and xrandr, it became really comfortable to use for office work. I also have antialiasing disabled with this monitor. The antiglare coating on the screen is also minimal which is another value.I find the TN monitors easier on the eyes than the IPS/PLS screens which makes me feel like looking at a torch. I think this is a great monitor at good price. I wish it was without the bezels and had HDMI but it's not really an issue. If you are going to use this in portrait mode, make sure you also set the "magic angle" to "side mode" or "standing mode"I also have the PLS 24" model of samsung, while that's also a great monitor and I was able to force it to 75hz. However, my eyes just don't agree with anything but a TN panel. PLS while it is not as bad as IPS, it was not as comfortable as this TN panel. But none the less, if you don't have any issues with IPS, the PLS 24" model is also a great monitor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Color not as good as my other Samsung monitors *by J***Y on July 17, 2018* First monitor received had a green, vertical line near the middle of the screen. Notified amazon and had a replacement in 2 days.Color not as good as my other Samsung monitors, however was cheaper. Wanted the 21.5" screen to match my second monitor. Must have 2 monitors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Functions as desired *by B***G on December 11, 2018* Using monitor for security system so I am not using the screen to its ratings. It works as expected and quality of pic is as expected. The size for my use is perfect. Pleased with purchase. Could not comment on durability yet.
