These make them much more secure! Now that I have owned them for a while (1yr? Amazon won’t show the date I ordered on the same page as this review)… the AirPods I use the most is getting a little stretched out because it almost comes off every time I take it out of my ear. It’s easy to put back in place though and still does the it’s job. I anticipate I will need to order another set eventually. But considering I would have lost the ear buds long ago without them, this is totally worth it to me and my weird ears.I didn’t want to have to take them off and put them back on constantly, because I probably would just lose them and/or not use them. So I purchased a leather case with a clasp that holds the case closed so that it would keep the case closed with these on. This may also be contributing to the wear, but again, for me it’s totally worth it. It’s not perfect, the case pops open occasionally, but stays closed for the most part. The proof of success for me lies in the fact that I still own both ear buds and both ear hooks.I suppose the ear hooks made noise cancellation better since they hold in my ear better? But I don’t recall being blown away by the difference in that area, again, odd ear holes apparently.I so much appreciate this product. My airpod pros do NOT stay in my ears…. Even sitting still the music vibrations work them out of my ears eventually… Eating? Constantly falling out… I tried all 3 rubber fittings and no difference. Guess my ears are wrong 🙄These felt very secure and I decided to try them mowing! Never once had to readjust them due to loosening! They stayed in the whole time!Total winner! And very comfortable for me. Does not bother my earThe BAD:My charging case will not close with them installed. I knew this so its not a surprise. However, I didn’t realize the darn airpods would be ON and broadcasting Bluetooth handshake stuff the entire time they’re open. The next morning the whole system was dead battery. So you have to remove these each time you put them back in the charging case or the while system will broadcast and drain all 3 batteries. I have been using CharJenPro foam ear tips, and recently purchased their upgraded memory foam tips with silicon covers. They are the best on the market. I also decided to try these ear hooks. The hooks work great, and there was no movement or slipping from my ear during several multi-mile runs. In essence, they work very well. My only issue, and reason for docking one star, is with ease of putting on/taking off, and storage. Since they have to be removed to place the airpod pro's back in the case, it means that every time I want to use them, I have to remove the ear tip, install the hook, put the ear tip back on, and then do all that again when finished. It's a slight hassle for someone that does want to put their buds back in the case, close it up, and toss in a bag or pocket when finished.
