I pulled the lid off easily without disturbing the plastic, and under the cap there is a pull tab seal that was very firmly glued on. I was still suspicious so I counted all the capsules, I counted 99. I never was very good at counting. Anyway, all capsules were uniform and appeared to be normal size and quality for D gel capsules. So I took one 30 minutes ago and I feel fine. I'm supposed to take 50,000 iu per week of a slow release gel capsule, but my Dr went on vacay for a whole MONTH in Dec and left me hanging without renewing my script. So this will stand in 4 days a week (I know that's only 40,000 iu but I'm being cautious). I will upgrade this to 5 stars if I feel noticeably better in a week. I have pretty severe iron and D deficiency and it's obvious when I skip vitamins. Great price on this, will be a good backup if it functions as well as my prescription D.
