All you do is get them wet and rub on your face. They take off ALL of my makeup, even really stubborn eye makeup. I will sometimes even use them when I'm not wearing makeup to clean the oil off my face and I feel they do a good job at that as well. I have several, but I usually use the same one for about a week, hanging it in my shower between uses, and then throw in the laundry at the end of the week. They're exactly like the disposable makeup wipes, only reusable and much cheaper over the long run! They're also about the same size as most disposable makeup wipes. I prefer this size for my face and doubt I'd be happy with the smaller sized ones or pads. I highly recommend to anyone who wears makeup and hates the nuisance of washing your face when tired at bedtime.
