Within the system theses are for storieng your printed pictures in until you are ready to scrapbook in. I had a lot of photos to put in the first one and although it was a lot of work I fell in love with them. You get a lot of pages with 3 pockets on each side. The star feature here is that it has a ring binder system and you can take out pages and put them elsewhere. This means you can order pictures as you wish and as it suits you system. Love that they come in a range of colours.Only "worry" I have is that the plastic that you slip the photos in feels quite flimsy and I worry that they might split when I take photos out and put photos in regularly. But this has not happened yet. At the moment I even put several pictures in one sleeve...As for the size of them, they are just a little taller than any of my book cases and the IKEA Kallax shelving unit which is a bit of a shame. Photos are relatively easy to insert a minor frustration (sometimes) separating the insert sections. The cover is paper and cardboard, with an attractive print. If used often rather than occasionally. the paper could be subject to blemishing vs units covered in fabric material .
