The texture is very similar to the Loreal one which I love. Its a light slippery shiny dimethicone type of serum, so it leaves the hair shiny and protects the hair from heat. I apply a small (dime size) amount to my damp hair before blowdrying, and it turns my naturally wavy, frizzy hair to sleek, shiny, straight and manageable hair. You need to be careful with the amount of product though. A little goes a long way. If you overuse it, the hair gets weighed down easily and becomes greasy quickly. So I find that I need to wash my hair more often. But if you use a small quantity, it makes your hair look beautiful. I'm not sure if the ingredients are good/safe, but I dont apply it to my roots so it's not a big deal.
