During my reduction recovery, I used a mastectomy pillow with little pockets, and these packs fit perfectly inside. The fabric kept them from being too cold or too hot against my skin, and it made a huge difference in staying comfortable while healing. They’ve also been great for keeping groceries cold on the long trip home from Trader Joe’s. I line my cooler with one on the bottom, two on the sides, and one on top, and everything stays cold the whole way there and back. They don’t melt fast and even when they do start to thaw, they don’t leak or drip water everywhere. I also use them on the back of my neck a lot. They stay flexible and don’t turn into frozen bricks, which makes them great for headaches or just cooling down. I’ve used them both hot and cold, depending on what I need. Sometimes I’ll use a cold one on my neck and a warm one on my feet to help regulate my body temp during migraines, and that combo really helps. I’ve had these for almost two years now and they’re still going strong.
