The text is simple but informative. I bought this book to use with middle school students, but even my mother (who is in her 60's) enjoyed it. Raczka takes readers on a chronological tour through history exploring: Naturalism, Mannerism, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism, Pointillism, Fauvism, Cubism, Futurism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Op Art, and Photo Realism. As with "Here's Looking at Me" Raczka's painting exemplars are well chosen and his explanations are easy to follow.
