## Description

This Goldwood Sound 8 ohm 8 inch driver has a max wattage of 200 watts and is designed and engineered right here in the USA. This woofer features a 20oz magnet with bumper plate and vented pole piece. The poly laminated cone has a rolled foam surround. This woofer is a high end, pro audio transducer optimized for all musical instrument, DJ, car audio and professional applications.

Review: I got a Free damaged Fender Rumble 15, all that was damaged was the speaker 8". So read on some fender forums about this Speaker, it is cheap or inexpensive so I gave the speaker a shot. To my surprise the bass speaker sounded great for my bass combo using a bass. Then I converted this bass combo into a speaker cab adding an instrument input direct to the speaker and another for the combo in the back. I then bought a small Joyo Tweed 20w head and plugged it in to the speaker using my 12 string. Man it sounds great! I can't believe I'm getting such a great sound from this speaker, sounds better than many guitar combo amps out there! So you don't have to buy a Celestion or a Eminence speaker because this little speaker has such a great sound, and I have various bass and guitar amps to compare to. I highly recommended this speaker you'll not only save some money but you'll be amazed at the sound.

**Q: Will this fit in a 7 1/8" hole?**
A: Measure across the diameter from mounting screw to the opposing screw.  I measure 7 and 3/4 inches.  The speaker hole is smaller. These brought my 1980s Mirage speakers back to life.  The actual speaker hole of 7 and 1/8 inches may be correct.  Also my speakers had way more mounting screws than the Goldwoods.  They have only four.  Don't be afraid to bear down with the screwdriver in a sequential pattern.  It will help lock them into place.  Sorry my answer isn't a guarantee. But I wish you luck.

**Q: Max wattage? Would be nice to know if it can handle replacing a Yamaha.**

A: I think it would be perfectly acceptable.  I used them as woofers on Bose 601 speakers

A: I think it would be. Made a bass canon out of one and it sounds pretty good.

It needs a lot of power before it starts to move. Not what I expected. Basses are clear but very little.
